Been one of those months where the weather won, rain, rain and rain – hence a summary of our stay in Woking.
Our home has been a large house on the outskirts of Horsell common, with a swimming pool, large garden and beautiful lounge, kitchen and dining area.
Sat on the outskirts of a nature and wildlife park, Heather Farm cafe, we have been entertained by the deer, geese, squirrels and other animals that have ventured through our garden – so too has Jolly when she spots them – woof, woof, woof and tail wagging excitment.
With the rain, the ground has become waterlogged, – ducks swimming through the grass, was not an uncommon sight – hence we spent a large amount of our time working, as the flooding has restricted our wonders from the house.
Thankfully the house was on the edge of Horsell common, which meant we had some good, (if not wet), walks with our little charge, Jolly, through the open heather, and tree thickets.
One of the best walks was a hour long track around and over the Mclaren Science park. We were only able to do this walk twice, as the paths were so boggy and flooded, it was impractical to take our little terrier through the large puddles and streams.
Below our a few photographs of our various walks around Horsell common. If we get an opportunity to return, hopefully we can explore the area a little more.
