We’ve found many useful things on our travels, and below we share some of our links that have kept us going, provided helpful information or resources, or generally helpful links for what you might need – should you decide to sell it all and travel too.
National Trust – Not Service Stations
Annabel and I have been fortunate enough to do a lot of travelling around the UK over the last three years – before the blog. In that time, I can count on one hand the number of times we’ve used a service station.
We try to plan ahead to avoid them – in our opinion:
- They tend to be expensive.
- You get better value for your money by getting off the main road to a local town.
- You can support local businesses – keeping our high streets alive.
- Places like the National Trust have great grounds to explore and stretch your legs.
- You get to experience a location – you might not have done otherwise.
- You feel more relaxed then the hussle of busy service stations!
- You can find some great cafe’s with reasonable prices!
Even if you don’t have the time to avoid service stations, we recommend having National Trust membership, what you save by having access to free places to visit and free parking locations far outweighs the annual cost.
