It’s always interesting when you go away for a while, and then come back to a town you are so familiar with.
I did find myself feeling a stranger, yet the fact I was working in the same old way, made me feel like nothing had changed. I had a job installing a computer in the Liskeard Old Cornwall Society office, which I was happy to do. Their office is in Stuart House, and it was good to go around the historic medival town house, a place I know well.
While I was there, doing the job, I knew my heart was elsewhere, and I found myself confirming the choices I had made to go travelling.
During the day, I heard about the Liskeard Christmas lights, problems with litter, dog fouling and parking charges. Topics that were present five years ago…..
The next few days will be of interest, and I will enjoy catching up with friends – my legs though are itching to rejoin Annabel, and start the next part of our adventure.
