Another day of sorting bits out for the house sale and catching up with a few jobs around Liskeard.
The most exciting thing, (for me) during the day was getting ten minutes at Liskeard station. As the railway signalling is being upgraded, a bus replacement service is running between Liskeard and St Austell, which meant an opportunity to watch trains shunting around in the station as they changed from the down mainline to the upline. Interesting if you are interested!?
The rest of the day was spent visiting some customers, at Coombe and St Neot – with a brief catch up with a friend for lunch.
Evening met up with another friend – took a walk on Whitsand beach, and apart from finding some dog mess – why don’t people clean up – we had a very relaxing evening. Looking forward to heading back to Alton though.
Meanwhile in Oakhanger, Annabel had friends arrive. More dog walking in the rain in full wet weather gear.
Rock cakes were made and consumed for tea.
All was well until it was realised that one of the charges was not behaving as normal eg not barking at people. A small wound was discovered on her petite tummy. After a chat with the owners a trip to the vet in the morning was agreed. In the meantime, doggie antiseptic was applied.
More on dog welfare tomorrow.
