You can leave Cornwall, but Cornwall doesn’t leave you. After the expected late departure after cleaning the house, last minute tip runs, and packing the car in the rain we finally left the county of Clotted cream and pixies for our adventure travelling around the United Kingdom, (and eleswhere fingers crossed) about 2 in the afternoon on the 13th October 2023.
Our first destination being Otley, and a run up the M5, M6 and M62. The weather was the best the English climate could throw, with heavy rain showers mixed with bursts of autumnal orange evening sunsets.
A last pasty was our final nod to Cornwall. Tomorrow it’s a beer festival and a steam train,….what better way to start our great explore!
