David Pov: I squeezed in a few other jobs, which made the 24 hours and 15 minutes in Liskeard a worthwhile trip – then it was time to catch the 13:44 train to Paddington and a dash across to Victoria for the train to East Grinstead, where I would meet Annabel, who was being introduced to our new charges.
After a slight delay, I got to our new home at 19:45 and met two lovely dogs full of life – a quick meal, a chat about living on canal boats, (our host has done it) I took an early night.
