David Pov: I write first today, as a customer had called me – they had been let down by one of their other suppliers – reluctantly I had agreed to return to Cornwall and hopefully resolve the issues.
It meant after last night’s meal, an early start – Annabel dropped me off at Basingstoke station – I caught the 9:25 train to Reading – then the 10:29 to Liskeard. For me, I held mixed emotions; I had left to explore, and here I was returning, yet it is important to remember we are not on holiday, but working while travelling, – these dart in and out trips to Liskeard may well be a part of this year long experience.
Having seen it rain day on day – I expected flooding, but it was amazing to see an inland sea covering the plains around the Somerset levels. The picture for this page is off what is normally farmland.
I arrived in Liskeard at 13:45 and thankfully a short walk to the customer. The work took a few hours, and I squeezed in another job at Trewidland.
A night watching Passport to Pimiloco at my mum’s – I layed my sleeping bad down on the living room floor and went to sleep.
