Saturday 23rd August and we’ve been driving, (including a few curses at the middle lane hoggers), to eventually arrive at our relaxing holiday let, which is a gift from one of our wedding guests.
Situated in the charming hamlet of Rezare our location is right in the middle of the rural Cornish countryside with the hills of Bodmin moor forming the distant skyline. Our first evening is spent relaxing with a glass of wine and some pizza, before an early night – our four day break is going to be packed!
Sunday sees us meeting up with some friends for a walk around Golddiggings on Bodmin moor, and then in the evening we join a few more friends at the local pub to Rezare, the Springer Spaniel. A perfect day of relaxing, catching up with wedding memories and returning to some old haunts in the local area.
Monday I’m working – I know – and in the evening we venture to Talland Bay for a meal with the folks. The weather has been fantastic, and we’ve lucked out with the sunshine and warmth.
Our last full day in Cornwall sees us pottering between a few client jobs, and then a sneeky ice cream on Kit Hill, near Callington.
Wednesday, breakfast with a couple of other friends in Dobwalls, before it’s Cornwall departure time, which means an A303 trip to Hook, near Basingstoke. Arriving as scheduled for 5o’clock we settle in for a curry and catching up with a few pets we’ve known before.
Thursday and Friday – WORK!
