Today was an ambition fulfilled, crossing Ribblehead Viaduct by train; yes I know there are tougher ones, more ambitious ones, but nevertheless this was something I had wanted to do for a long time.
Arriving in Dent last night, we had a relaxing evening with friends, and today, (following a brief morning walk with the dog) we all headed out from Dent, (the highest railway station in England) to Settle for a beer festival at the Talbot Arms. A relaxing afternoon in the warm spring sun, some refreshing pints with lovely Cumbrian and Yorkshire scenery from the train window. A great day, and a dream completed.
