Covid has struck?
Annoingly after a few trips to visit mum in hospital, I picked up the lurgy and was out for the count. However, back on the mend, I can now share a few updates of our recent visits.
Having dropped my watch on the floor of a crib hut in a Cornish Tin mine, (long story involving work), I found a place in Romsey that would repair watches.
So on a grey February day we travelled down from Winchester, for what turned out to be a quick lunchtime visit. However I did get time to visit Romsey Abbey, a building that is well worth a tour. Lovely stain glass windows, with beautiful architecture to study.
The day we picked by random, also happened to be the day the Romsey Signal box museum was open, a fortunate coincendence. Worth the small admission fee, and a hour of time to explore the various exhibits and information boards. Just needs a running train 🙂
Why Romsey twice, I had to make a return visit to pick up the watch, sadly beyond repair. 🙁
