Waking in Tours, Annabel and I headed out to explore the city, we only had a few hours, so decided to head to the Cathedral via the railway station, (which sadly was just outside the hotel 🙂 ).
We wondered the streets enjoying the architecture and studied the amazing stone and wood work of the cathedral. Tours is well worth a visit, and we enjoyed our walk around the older parts of the city.
Sadly the rain came in so Annabel and I headed back to the hotel, sadly we both still need to work!
Couple hours work, and then we returned to the Château to retrieve our 2CV’s. 4pm, and we were all checking over the cars, before a dart to the petrol station and our kind thank you treat, a night at the Hotel De France, just outside Le Mans.
For those who know their motoring history, Hotel De France has been the base of some of the most famous teams preparing for the Le Man’s of the past.
Following a beautiful drive through the French countryside, we all arrived at the hotel and relaxed around a wonderful meal, great company and some fantastic laughs.
As I settled to sleep, I couldn’t help, but wonder, which driver or celebrity, might have also stayed in our room.
