A simple day, catching up with one of Annabel’s other friends who lives in Shaftesbury, and also a friend from Sherbourne, who we hadn’t seen for way too long – we head into town to grab some bits for lunch, and a quick explore.
Shaftesbury is a lovely tidy town, though sadly the familiar scene of closed shops along the high street cannot be ignored – and of course it’s a town famous for one thing! The Hovis advert from 1974!
I wonder to the top of famous hill, and grab a photo – time does not permit me to venture down it, (think my legs were glad of avoiding a return uphill trip) – and we head off for lunch.
Pleasant, peaceful afternoon with a bespoke lunch and some wine – before we have a quite and chilled evening at home.
