We woke and decided to have breakfast on the shore in Plymouth Barbican – thining this would give us a breather after our journey to sort things out – sadly we hadn’t counted on winter having arrived with vengeance.
Freezing wind bighting around the car as we got out to head for some food, all the shops looking closed, and only a few marines venturing out in the icy weather, we decided to cancel our breakfast plans and instead Annabel took the car to the local Kia garage to get some advice, I headed back to Cornwall on the train to get on with a few things there.
As I got on the train, Annabel rang to say the garage could not accommodate us, but the car should be fine to drive – she put another bottle of catalytic cleaner in and drove to Liskeard to meet me off the train.
In the end, I got back first to find the town white with a flurry of snow, and Annabel and I rendezvous at mum’s house. Quick coffee, and then Annabel went to the library to work, while I visited a customer.
Lunch-time I was working at a local pub, so Annabel and I had lunch there, came out to the car to head to Looe for another job – turned on the Picanto – the engine management light didn’t appear -the car now deciding it was a 100% well. After all that – the wonders of modern vehicle electronics! Still not to complain.
Arrived at friends, relaxing night.
