It has to be said the KIA Picanto is serving us well, but the size of the boot space is making packing a bit of a stress – not to mention the fact the car is so full, Annabel is the only one who can drive, as, (once packed) the seats won’t go far enough back for the lanky ones like me.
So today we made the decision to go car hunting – and to be fair the day has been very much about cars – there being a kit Cobra in the workshop here – I was called in to help push the Cobra onto the lifter. The steering wheel not being present, the brakes being unconnected, and the wheels being reluctant to turn, we spent a good half hour pushing, shoving, and verbalising our efforts to get the car onto the jack.
For those who like cars, please enjoy a Cobra from the underside view.
Also one from the front as the vehicle is being lifted in the air.
Afternoon we popped to a nearby garage to browse potential cars – we found a few potential options, and agreed to return tomorrow to test drive a Duster.
In the evening we spent watching films and discussing the merits of buying a car. I tried to be imaginative by looking at ex-MOD vehicles, but Annabel has so far shown limited interest in an ex-RAF fuel bowser lorry, an armoured vehicle, military crane, or even the bridging equipment that was on sale.
Test drive tomorrow – the Duster.
