No dogs, no cats, no snakes, no home – we have a week off, and the handy thing about Annabel being a travel agent, it wasn’t difficult to find somewhere hot to go and take some rest/honeymoon.
Marrakesh was the chosen destination, so we left Greenlaw, (we’d stopped with relatives) and caught the aircraft at 7am to Morocco. Our flight was easy, though cloud obscured any view of the countryside below and we landed about 12.30 in the morning local time. This meant a relaxing afternoon by the pool enjoying the hotel bar.
Our time on holiday was spent exploring the souks of Marrakesh, an obligatory camel ride and a local hot bath. A very enjoyable week came to an end way too soon, and we left with fantastic memories and some new friends to keep in touch with.
