During the few weeks since the bereavement, we’ve spent time catching up, and had a short dog sit in Leyburn.
Thursday 21st May was the funeral, which was a reflective, peaceful day and following this we’ve spent some time with the family.
On the Friday, flowers were laid at Skateraw, and a small barbeque held in tribute.
With the bank holiday weekend, and our next sit not starting until the 26th May, we have spent the time having a walk along the Forth from Gullane to Yellowcraig, and on the Sunday, I went out on the water with Annabel’s cousin.
The tide, temperature and water all aligned to make the perfect paddle, with an outgoing flow bringing us down to the East end of North Berwick beach, while slack tide allowed us an easy kayak back up to the harbour.
Off Craigleith island we spotted a group of Puffins bobbing around in the water, which capped off the perfect time on the Forth. An impromptu barbeque in the evening made for a perfect time, and a good way to reflect, relax and catch-up.
Bank holiday Monday was spent hiding from the sun, before a quick dog walk at Yellowcraig, which a couple of the photographs below are from.
