A trip to Cornwall for work is required, so I stay in the usual pub The Sportsman’s at Menheniot, and catch up with a few friends. Leaving today to get to East Grinstead for the next house sit in Forest Row.
I decide to take the coast road along the A35 and with the journey going well pull off for lunch at Tolpuddle famous for the birth of the union movement and of course the Tolpuddle Martyrs.
Lunch at the pub was lovely, and I would certainly make a return visit.
After the Coronation Chicken break, I decided to wonder down to the green and have a look at the famous tree.
An atmosphere was certainly present at the location where so much recent history was formed from. Sadly, time did not permit a visit to the museum, but it is certainly a plan for next time.
