Well the two weeks of our latest sit are almost up, which gives me a chance to update the blog, following a whirlwind few months, which has included a marriage, some fowl/foul play, trips up and down the country and some lovely dog and small holding sits.
I’ll cover the recent sit in this blog, and then catch up with the marriage bits later.
For the last few weeks we’ve been looking after a lovely small holding near Dunbog, Cupar. Our house is sat in the middle of the most beautiful hills, with the river Tay to our north and the striking feature of Dunbog hill to our south.
Our charges have included 10 hens, 8 ducks, 9 ducklings, 5 geese, (relatively friendly) and one black always hungry Labrador. The house is going through renovation, but it is livable, and we’ve both grown to enjoy the GoodLife of collecting fresh eggs for breakfast.
While here, we’ve managed to fit in a few visits, including to the Dundee V&A, and a trip over to St Andrews.
We’ve also experienced the Scottish weather with a thunderstorm, which passed over our head last Thursday. With the risk of lightning we turned off our computers and opened the gin for a relaxing afternoon enjoying the storm, and then as the clouds cleared, we watched the Persoid meteor shower.
A fantastic sit, and one that has been a great learning experience.
