Everyone says how tiring weddings are, but we didn’t notice it – until we got away after the big day.
We woke up to a very slow breakfast and a chat with our hosts, before heading up the road towards Cawdor Castle. I think it was at this point the exhaustation of the past few weeks caught up, and though we both tried to find the energy to make the most of the day, it would be difficult to say that we did Cawdor Castle justice. Instead, we made plans to return and enjoy the garden.
It was a similar story at our next stop, Fort George.
We both enjoyed the day though, which was a mini-break between the wedding and our next house sit in Dundog. We both needed the rest.
