Friday and I think both the hen and stag parties wake a little the worse. Everyone though has had a great time, and more importantly returned intact.
Annabel and I wonder down the Harbour Chapel for our rehearsal, and then it is time for me to take the parents out, so they can see a little of the area.
We decided to head south to meet Alan and Lauren for lunch, (they are on their way north for the wedding). I drive over the top near Dowlaw and then to St Abbs Head, where we meet my brother and have a wonderful meal at a harbour cafe.
Food was excellent, and it filled the gap in our time really well. Annabel meanwhile was having fun with her mum and friends sorting out the flowers.
In the evening I get back to the Dolphin, ( a friend makes a much needed cup of tea) and I leave the Dolphin to check into the Dunmueir – pre-wedding night and all that.
In the evening we have our welcome reception, which goes really well. Relatives who live in Dunbar, and friends from further away come for an informal glass and light meal. Introductions work, and now strangers can at least recognise an unfamiliar face 🙂
Oh, the hard-hat – let’s just say I bumped into a glass door, nerves have arrived!
