Saturday 11th May and we decide to venture to another National Trust House Snowshill Hill Estate.
Querky is the only way to describe the interior, while the exterior is a lovely manor set on the side of the Cotswold hills.
Eccentric Charles Wade had restored the estate after he purchased it in 1919, rather than live in the main house, he used the rooms display the hundreds of items he had collected or salvaged during his time.
Items ranged from fashion, utensils, to old cycles, carts, and even model ships used by shipyards to show the Admiralty what they were purchasing.
The house is like a minature V&A, with items displayed in context, but without explanation.
Recommend a visit when in the area.
Our evening was a quite one, with a bbq, a game and enjoyment watching the ducks on the pond in front of us.
